Beautiful, Bright Poinciana trees cover tropical neighborhoods in Coral Gables, Florida. On a recent trip to Miami, Florida visiting Coral Gables, I was struck by the overwhelming sight of these magnificent trees. They are like canopies covering street after street. In early spring, leaves come back to screen the sun. In May or June, the voluminous red blooms appear and will typically hold for 4-10 weeks of extremely intense color
Based on photography I shot and turned into a impressionistic painting using Corel Painter and photoshop.

The world is my palette, I create in many styles using traditional and digital mixed media and encompasses many venues and comes from my imagination, life experiences and interaction with people and the world at large!
